Wow, it’s been exactly a year since I started this venture with my first post What is BrainFodder - Ruminations of a Naturalist? I originally began it as a way to share some of my articles from my column, Natural History Nuggets, in The Estero Bay News. But then I figured I’ve got all sorts of thoughts, stories, ideas, opinions, views, sentiments, speculations, theories, conjectures, ponderings, or…Ruminations running around my brain, so why not share them and put them out there for folks to read if they so desire? And lo and behold, it turns out there are over 200 people interested enough to subscribe to this newsletter, and after each post, more are coming, thanks to many of my readers recommending or sharing my work with others. Writers and storytellers always love an audience.
What I find even more amazing is that some people have volunteered to become paid subscribers! It’s like gravy on top of gravy! I can’t tell you how much that means to me to know that there are folks out there who think my work is worth paying for. Thank you.
So, let’s continue this journey and I promise not to clog up your inbox with too many emails. I think two or three a month keeps it fresh. Here’s to many more Ruminations, and if you have any comments or suggestions please don’t hesitate to send them my way.
There’ll be a new Rumination at the end of the week; until then, stay sane and have fun!
Hi Dean, I've enjoyed all your articles. Would you consider a Brain Fodder Walk in the Elfin Forest. We only have 20 Walkers on each 3rd Saturday Walk. However, the invitation to the Walk goes to a mailing list of two hundred Elfin Forest Walkers. We can send out the Walk poster with a current essay.
I'd also suggest a Brain Fodder pictorial essay for YouTube. Post it on your own YouTube channel. Simultaneosly, you are welcome to post it as an introduction on my channel. My YouTube videos have over 1.7 million views. The YouTube algorithim puts anything on my channel in front of a lot of eyeballs.
