Today BrainFodder is a long one and well worth each word! Tiko and I are reading, The Hidden Life of Trees (he reads while I listen and doodle) and wood-wide web rings true. I love your plum tree experience. There are so many moments in my own life when my mother's devotion to her Catechism and taking us to the rites and rituals of the Roman Catholic Church come into my current day consciousness. Amazing that in the news is Leo XIV. I feel certain I would have been an unruly juvenile delinquent had I not had some guidance like the 10 Commandments or the Sacraments, a few of which are Confession, Penance, and Holy Communion. Rather than the delinquent, I am most often told, I am unique. When we picked our seeds to plant in the little plot my mother cleared in the back yard I chose turnips because they were pretty. White and lavendar, round, two-tone and fine hairs dangling from the giant root that the turnip is. Of course, how do you prepare a turnip to eat? And of course, we did have a crop. So, Happy Mother's Day to you Dean and to Stacy, too. It certainly is a great day to remember the roots!
SO good!
Thanks Chris!

Ha! That's the church we went to!
And yes, I too see no conflict between the two
